The Elf on the Shelf, A Christmas Tradition is an activity the entire family will enjoy. Based on the tradition Carol Aebersold began with her family in the 1970s, this cleverly rhymed children’s book explains that Santa knows who is naughty and/or nice because he sends a scout elf to every home. During the holiday season, the elf watches children by day and reports to Santa each night.

When children awake, the elf has returned from the North Pole and can be found hiding in a different location. This activity allows The Elf on the Shelf to become a delightful hide-and-seek game. Supplies are limited, so  don’t miss getting your copy.

Fenton Art Glass To Cease Traditional Glass Production

The Fenton Art Glass Company announced today (July 6, 2011)  that it would wind down production of its collectible and giftware glass products.  The company has faced financial challenges since its restructuring in 2007, and recent developments combined to force the shutdown of its traditional glassmaking business.  Our hearts go out to Fenton Family and its employees as it is a very sad day for them to have to stop making the traditional glass.  Production of Fenton jewelry beads will continue and will be  coming to  the Hummel Gift Shop in the near future. Also we still have a large selection of Fenton Art Glass available so don’t delay and purchase a piece of American made art!
